Pletcher, 93, of Markleton, went home to be with the Lord March 3, 2002, at the Meyersdale Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1909, in Middlecreek Twp., the son of the late Abraham and Annie (Shaulis) Pletcher. Also preceded in death by wife, Ida (May) Pletcher, infant son Ernest Pletcher and numerous brothers and sisters. Survived by his wife, Ethel (Knopsnyder) Pletcher; sons Charles Pletcher, married to Jean Winters of New Brighton, and Harry Pletcher, married to the late Jean Hay of Lyndora; daughter Erma Hay, married to the late John Hay of Markleton; step-daughter Kathleen, married to Paul Gary, of Rockwood; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren: 11 great-great-grandchildren: two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was retired from the B&O Railroad. Attended the Somerset Church of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor Archie Smith officiating.
