Pletcher, 88, of Willow Street, Pa., formerly of Markleton RD 1, died Jan. 29 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster. He was born Jan. 19, 1888, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Irvin and Melinda Gary Pletcher. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Sweitzer; a daughter, Mrs. Levi (Leora) Chirst of Lancaster; a son William Dale of Ingomar; a grandson Merle R. Pletcher of Willow Street; two great-grandsons; a brother, John Pletcher of Greensburg, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Benjamin (Anna) McCoy of Lamberton. He was a retired employe of PennDOT, a member of the Kingwood I.O.O.F. Lodge, and the First Church of God of North America, Kingwood. His passing severs a marriage union of 63 years. Services were conducted Feb. 1 at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville. Meyersdale Republic, February 5, 1976 [P718]
