Pluta, 79, 41 Jerome Ave., Jerome, died unexpectedly Aug. 27, 1984, at Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Va. Born Dec. 15, 1904, in Windber, son of John and Dorothy (Bunk) Pluta. Preceded in death by parents; son, Thomas; several infant sisters and brothers; sisters: Anna and Victoria; brothers: John and Charles. Survived by widow, the former Stella Bomba; three children: Louise, wife of James E. Short, Bethel Park; George, married to the former Florence Zablotney, District Heights, Md.; JoAnn, wife of Walter Robuck, Falls Church, Va.; eight grandchildren. Brother of Catherine Zambrzicky, Boswell RD 1; Frances Bunk, Windber RD; Blanche McClure, New York City; Joseph, Uniontown; Steve, Jerome, Nellie DeMarco, Bridgeport, N.J. Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome; Tire Hill Local 887 UMWA; and Jerome Volunteer Fire Department. Celebrated 55th wedding anniversary July 17, 1984. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
