Born July 5, 1915 in New York City, daughter of Pietro and Assunta (Riscassi) Callegari. Preceded in death by parents; and husband, Alfred Joseph Poggi Sr., who died March 19. Survived by children: Dr. Alfred J. Poggi Jr., married to the former Elizabeth Ann Seibert, Somerset; and Richard R. Poggi, married to the former Judith Cardinali, Mount Vernon, N.Y.; grandchildren: Michelle A. Poggi, Bryn Mawr; Michael Poggi, Pittsburgh; Christopher S. Poggi, Philadelphia; Stephanie A. Poggi, Mount Vernon, N.Y.; and Steven R. Poggi, Mount Vernon, N.Y. Sister of: Mrs. Louise Ritchie, Washington, N.J.; and Joseph Callegari, Tarpon Springs, Fla. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset County Artist Association and Westmoreland County Artist Association. A well-known Somerset County artist and was an avid supporter of Laurel Arts. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
