ESTHER POINT

  Miss Esther Point, 48, daughter of the late Annie Layman and Frank Point, of 
Newell, Iowa, died in the Georgetown Hospital, Washington, D.C., Thursday, Jan. 
3.
  Miss Point was employed by the government in Washington for a number of years, 
and often visited relatives in Garrett County - the Misses Ida and Beulah Engle 
and Charles and Scott Layman.
  Miss Point's uncle, George Layman of Newell, Iowa, was called to Washington 
early last week owing to her illness and death and accompanied the body to 
Frostburg, where it was prepared for burial at the Durst Funeral Home.  On 
Saturday the body was sent to her home in Newell, Iowa for funeral services and 
interment.
  She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ethel Hobby of California.
