    Pauline E. (Baer) Polefrone, 71, of Garrett, died Aug. 12, 1983, at
  her home.  
    She was born July 17, 1912, in Summit Township, a daughter of the
  late Albert J. and Margarette (Lee) Baer.
    She is survived by her husband, Emric H.  Also survived by two
  brothers: F. Dale Baer, Berlin; and Glenn A. Baer, Turtle Creek; and
  a sister, Mrs. Ruth L. Bice, Meyersdale RD 3.
    She was a member of: the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett; the
  Meyersdale Hospital Auxiliary; Ladies of the Elks Lodge 1951;
  American Legion Auxiliary; Somerset County Public School Employees
  Retirement Assoc.; and National Retired Teachers.
    She taught in the Meyersdale Area schools for 44 years, retiring in
  1976.  She was a graduate of Meyersdale High School.  She prepared for
  teaching at California State University, the University of Akron and
  Penn State University.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. William Phennicie
  officiating.  Interment, Greenville Union Cemetery.
