"Coach" Policicchio, 71, Main Street, Boswell, died Dec. 14, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born April 1, 1931 in Boswell, son of James and Jennie (Trigona) Policicchio. Preceded in death by parents; two infant brothers; brothers Tony, John, Bruno, and James and sister Rose Maruca. Survived by wife of 37 years, the former Andrea L. (Franke); son, Marshall J. "M.J.", married to the former Jennifer (Mitchell), Chambersburg; daughter, Betsy Jo, Ocean City, Md.; special granddaughter Olivia Grace Policicchio; sisters Annetta Lamonica and Caroline Baird, both of Boswell; numerous other relatives and friends and his beloved "Daisy Girl." Graduate of the former Boswell High School where he was a district wrestling champ. Also a graduate of the former Indiana Teachers College, where he won a PSAC wrestling championship. Marsh took over the struggling wrestling program at the former JBJ High School, in 1958 where his 22 year coaching record was 238-62-5. Retired North Star educator with 23 years service. Inducted into Pa. Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1991. Also former member and past president of North Star School Board. Past Boswell Borough Council member. Army veteran of Korean War, retired Major in the Army National Guard. Member of All Saints Parish and the former St. Joseph's Church. In recent years attended St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church. Member and past president of Boswell Lions Club. Also member of Numerous social, Faternal and Community organizations. Along with wife owner and operator Andrea's Restaurant and Laundromat for 28 years. Also owned and operated various other business and cooking with soup being his specialty. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Andrews Church, Main Street, Boswell. Larry C. Hoover officiating. Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, near Jennerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Andrews Lutheran Church Roof Fund or Boswell Food Pantry would be appreciated. Graveside military rite in charge of U.S. Army.
