Pollard, 94, resident of Miami, Fla., for 50 years, died Oct. 2, 1975, at home. Born May 9, 1881, in Berlin, she was a daughter of Edward and Ellen (Vogel) McQuade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee W. Pollard, in 1963, and by a son, Richard Edward Pollard. She was a resident of Garrett until 1925, when she, her husband and family moved to Miami. She was the oldest member of the Northeast Miami Women's Club and of Grace United Methodist Church there. Surviving are three children: James J. Pollard and Mrs. Mary P. Thompson, both of Miami; and Mrs. Elizabeth Friedline of Meyersdale; also six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert McQuade of Berlin. Funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 6, in Lithgow 54th Street Funeral Chapel, Miami. Interment in Woodlawn Park Cemetery there. Meyersdale Republic, November 6, 1975 [P0781]
