He was born in Piedmont, W.Va., the son of the late Angelo and Liberty Polvinale, of Meyersdale, originally from Italy. He lived in Long Beach and Rockaway Beach, N.Y. before moving here in October. He was a self-employed barber, retiring ten years ago; served 25 years in the Army, 1st Sgt.; retired with an honorable discharge. He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Polvinale. He is survived by his wife Isabelle Lieberman; two sons, John C., of Lakewood and Robert A., of Stockton, Calif.; five brothers, Nicholas, of Uniontown; Guido, of Meyersdale; Pasquale, of Sandusky, Ohio; Henry, of Smock and Carl, of Meyersdale; two sisters, Mrs. Madeline Peretti, of Smock and Miss Lucy Polvinale, of Meyersdale and two grandchildren. Friends were received at Lakewood Funeral Home, Route 9, Howell where funeral services were held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. A mass for Christian burial was held at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Church, in Lakewood.
