Most of her children were at her bedside constantly during her illness, namely: R. Earl of Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Nell McKenzie of Mt. Savage, Md.; Mrs. Mabel Shipley, of Connellsville; Norman of Hyndman; Oscar of Johnstown; Mrs. F. B. Miller and sons, Thomas and Jacob, of Northampton Twp., and other relatives. A grandson, Charles Shipley, of the U.S. Navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shipley of Connellsville, home on leave, also visited her last Thursday. She was the daughter of Loura and Tracy Stahl Gladwell. Her husband, Bruce Poorbaugh, died July 4, 1931. The following children survive: H. A. Poorbaugh, Roswell, N.M.; J. S. and Thomas Poorbaugh, Glencoe, RD; O. P. Poorbaugh, Hagerstown, Md; C. W. Poorbaugh, Ivanhoe, Cal.; Mrs. Elmer McKenzie, Mt. Savage, Md.; R. E. Poorbaugh, Toledo, Ohio; N. B. Poorbaugh, Hyndman; Mrs. C. F. Shipley, Connellsville. Also 36 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Reformed Church, with Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger officiating. Burial in the Mt. Lebanon cemetery. Mrs. Poorbaugh was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Northampton Township. She and her husband were among the township's most prominent and substantial residents for many years, and reared a large family of children that were a credit to them, as were also their numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
