Poorbaugh, 44, of Glencoe R.D., a prominent farmer and fruit grower, of Northampton Twp., died unexpectedly at 8:15 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home. He was born July 27, 1901, on the farm on which he lived his entire life. He was a son of the late Harvey M. and Anna Margretta (Sheller) Poorbaugh. Mr. Poorbaugh, owner of a large and well kept apple orchard, was widely known as a farmer and orchardist. He was an active member of the Mt. Lebanon Reformed Church. He is survived by five sisters - Mrs. William Deist, Salisbury; Mrs. Herman Keefer, Akron, O.; Mrs. Bertha Smith, Charleston, W.Va.; Mrs. Royden Hay, Meyersdale R.D., and Miss Mildred Poorbaugh, at home - and two brothers - Ralph, Stoystown R.D., and John, Corriganville, Md. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30, Sunday afternoon, at Mt. Lebanon church, by the pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. The body may be viewed by friends at the Poorbaugh home until the hour of the funeral. Johnson & Son, Berlin morticians, have charge of the funeral arrangements.
