Poorbaugh, 87, Glencoe, RD 1, died Oct. 15, 1979 in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born Feb. 2, 1892 in North Hampton Twp., a son of Bruce and Sara Ellen (Gladwell) Poorbaugh. He was preceded in death by his parents; a foster daughter, Hilda Keidel Miller; four brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, the former Ollie Bauman; one brother, Norman of Hyndman; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Shipley of Berlin; two grandchildren, Mrs. Darlene Miller Hillegass of State College; and Miss Michele Miller of Glencoe. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the Harry Fisher Post No. 445, American Legion, Berlin. Member of the New Hope United Church of Christ, where he served as deacon and elder. He was presently serving as a trustee of the church. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin. Services were held at the New Hope U.C.C. Church (Route 160) with the Rev. William Moser officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the New Hope U.C.C. Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
