He was born in Somerset County, a son of Andrew and Cordella (Coughenour) Poorbaugh. His wife, Rose Ann (Saylor) Poorbaugh, died 15 years ago. Surviving are six children: Mrs. Henry E. Miller and Frank A. Poorbaugh, both of Fairhope R.D. 1; Mrs. Charles Lafferty and Mrs. Harvey Louge, both of Berlin; George I. Poorbaugh, Berlin R.D., and Mrs. Merle Miller, Somerset. There are 32 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Benjamin Poorbaugh, Berlin. Meyersdale Republican, December 24, 1946
