Poorbaugh, 82, of Johnstown, formerly of Somerset, died Dec. 29, 2003, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born July 12, 1921, in Johnstown, daughter of Lester and Eletha C. (Lawrence) Coy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Forrest Poorbaugh, who died in 1976; brother, Donald E. and sister Nancy Pountney. Survived by daughters, Patricia L., wife of William Barron, Corinth, Texas and Bettyjo, wife of Franklin Bittner, Berlin; grandson, James Barron; granddaughter, Kellyjo Zerfoss and great-grandson, Zachary Barron. Sister of Rosella Coy and Lawrence Coy, both of Johnstown, Phillip, Oregon; Leroy and Jeanne Ling, both of Ohio and James, Pittsburgh. Member of Westmont United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern star, Somerset. Active in Johnstown Senior Center, where she served on the advisory board. Formerly employed bt Giant Eagle, Goucher Street. No viewing or receiving of friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Westmont United Methodist Church, 1428 Menoher Blvd., the Rev. Dale R. Shunk.
