   Helena A. (Tomko) Popovic, 86, Windber, went to be with the Lord Feb. 5, 2007, at home.
  Born April 14, 1920, in Mammoth, daughter of John and Anna (Pollack) Tomko. Preceded in
  death by parents; husband, Frank Popovic; and brothers, Steven and John Tomko. Survived
  by children, Kathie, wife of Joseph Croyle, Johnstown; and Ron Popovic, married to the
  former Gloria Mercik, Bellefonte; grandchildren, Krysteen Duncan, Ryan and Jason Popovic;
  great-grandchildren, Lakyn, Alex and Austin. A sister of Margaret, wife of the late Joseph
  Walker, Windber; Andrew Tomko and wife, Paula, Windber; Joseph Tomko and wife, Helen,
  Blairsville; Agnes, wife of the late Joseph Elias, Windber; and Betty, wife of Robert
  Alexander, Graceton. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A retired employee of
  Windber Hospital's dietary department. A member of First Catholic Slovak Ladies
  Association and also a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber.
  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home,
  Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10
  a.m. Thursday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber. The Rev. Fr. Matthew
  Misurda, celebrant. Committal at the church cemetery.
