  JOHN S. PORTER
  
    John S. Porter, 71, of Meyersdale RD 4, died Oct. 1, 1982, at the
  home of his son.  He was born Sept. 14, 1911 in Fairhope, a son of
  the late George and Tille (Kendall) Porter.  He was preceded in death
  by wife, the former Clara Tressler.
    He is survived by these children:  Harold F. Porter Sr. of
  Meyersdale RD 4; Mrs. Helen Martz of Willoughby, Ohio; and Mrs.
  Dorethea Jefferson, North Ridgeville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and
  three great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of:  Mrs. Bessie Likens
  and Mrs. Dorothy Beck, both of Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Mary Kearney and
  Mrs. Elthea Spahr, both of Meyersdale RD 4; and Mrs. Juanita Vassallo
  of Painesville, Ohio.  He was retired from the Western Maryland
  Railroad after 33 years of service and was a member of the
  Barrelville Outdoor Club.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Lloyd Trout and the Rev. Harold
  Crabtree officiating.  Interment, White Oak Cemetery.
