  MELVIN G. PORTER
  
    Melvin G. Porter, 76, of Hyndman Rd 1, died July 19, 1983 at his
  residence.
    He was born in Eckhart Sept. 27, 1906, and was preceded in death by
  his wife, Freda (Crowe) Porter, who died in 1975.
    He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Calvary Bible
  Baptist Church.
    He is survived by two sons, Melvin J. Porter, of Wadetown, W.Va.,
  and Brandt H. Crowe, Walnutport; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Shroyer,
  Wiley Ford, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. 
  Interment was in Cook's Cemetery, Wellersburg.
