Born Oct. 18, 1932, in McKeesport, the son of the late Richard Rheam and Mabel Edna (Springer) Porter. Survived by wife of 49 years, the former Beatrice "Betty" D'Alberto; sons, Frank Porter and wife Joanne, Basking Ridge, N.J., Bruce Porter and wife Donna, Rockaway, N.J., Richard and Todd Porter, both of Caldwell, N.J.; grandchildren, Michael, BG, Damian and Skylar. A 1950 graduate of Clifford Scott High School and a graduate of Julliard Academy where he studied acting and dance. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had 15 years as a self-employed contractor until his retirement in 1995. He also attended the Middlecreek Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with a service following at 4 p.m. The Rev. Nancy Good officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
