  PORTERFIELD
  
    Grace E. Porterfield, 84, of Lorain, Ohio, formerly of Confluence,
  died Feb. 23, 1999, at Amherst Manor Nursing Home, Amherst, Ohio. 
  Born Aug. 27, 1914, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township.  A daughter of
  Silas and Edith (Dayton) Nickelson.  Preceded in death by parents and
  husband, Lloyd C.  Surviving are four children:  Alden Watkins, Don
  Watkins, Wanda Cameron and Barbara Conn, all of Lorain, Ohio; 12
  grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two
  great-great-grandchildren; also a brother, John Nickelson of
  Confluence, and two sisters, Sara McCulley of Confluence and Freda
  Hathaway of Lorain, Ohio.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services
  will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. James Thompson
  officiating.  Interment will follow in Jersey Cemetery.
