  PORTERFIELD
  
  John G. Porterfield, 85, Confluence, died April 17, 1987, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 5, 1902, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township,
  son of the late James and Ida (Ream) Porterfield.  Survived by wife,
  Clara J. Nickelson; one sister, Susan Rederick of Confluence; and a
  half-brother, Roosevelt Porterfield of Markleton.  Preceded in death
  by three brothers and four sisters.  Friends are being received at
  the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held
  Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Charles and the Rev. Vernon
  Witt officiating.  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
