  Harry W. Powell, 74, Stoystown RD 2, died Jan. 24, 1987, at Siemon
  Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born April 28, 1912, in Shade Township, son
  of Willis L. and Gertrude (Berkebile) Powell.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sisters, Ethel Lohr, Marian Berkheimer and Maude Wagner;
  brothers, Kenneth and Anson.  Survived by widow, former Maude
  Griffith.  Death ends marriage union of 48 years.  Also survived by
  daughter, Janet, wife of Dr. Arthur M. Reynolds, Lorton, Va.; and
  Diane, wife of Gary Stopa, Sterling, Va.; and granddaughter, Susan
  Reynolds.  Brother of James, Stoystown RD 3.  Retired schoolteacher
  from Shade Township School District after 44 years.  World War II
  Navy veteran.  Member of Otterbine United Methodist Church; Central
  City Post 449 American Legion; Menocher Post 155 VFW; and Somerset
  County Retired Teachers Association.  Family received friends Sunday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 11
  a.m. Monday, the Rev. Ed and Brenda Fritz.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
