    Maude Marie Powell, 83, Alexandria, Va., formerly of Stoystown RD
  2, died Sept. 26, 1998 in Alexandria, Va.  Born July 11, 1915 in
  Jenner Township, daughter of J. Stanley Griffith and Florence
  (Winters) Griffith-Zimmerman.  Preceded in death by parents, husband
  Harry W., sister Florence Snyder, and step-father Clyde Zimmerman. 
  Survived by daughters, Janet, wife of Dr. Arthur M. Reynolds, Mason
  Neck, Va.; and Diane, wife of Gary Stopa, Sterling, Va., and
  granddaughters Susan Reynolds and Jessica Stopa.  Sister of:  Nellie
  Fern Hamstead, Kingston, W.Va.; Madaline Hersberger, Somerset;
  Margaret Blough, Stoystown; Michael Zimmerman and Alice Blough, both
  of Boswell.  Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Wilbur. 
  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Viewing from 9 a.m. until service at 10
  a.m. Wednesday at Otterbein U.M. Church, Wilbur, Rev. Samuel J.
  Weible.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Otterbein U.M. Church, 594 Wilbur Rd.,
  Stoystown, PA 15563.
