Born March 22, 1913, in Clarkson, Ontario, Canada, daughter of late Herbert James and Gertrude Winniford (Parker) Pinchin. Preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James. Survived by husband, Dr. E.M. Price; and four children: Irene Louise Koontz, Confluence; John Robert Price, Jackson, N.J.; Dr. Mary Elizabeth Aukerman, Fox Chapel; and Edwin Parker Price, State College; 12 grandchildren; and two brothers: George Herbert Pinchin, Severn Bridge, Canada; and Victor Edwin Pinchin, Mississauga, Canada. Registered nurse graduating from Toronto General Hospital in 1935. Married in 1938 to Dr. Price in Canada; then moved to Pittsburgh area. In 1940, she and her husband operated Price Hospital, Confluence, where she was administrator and anesthesiologist until 1962. Member of United Methodist Church, Confluence; Ladies Auxiliary of Somerset Medical Society; Order of Eastern Star, Trinity Chapter 138, Somerset; and Women's Civic Club, Confluence. Friends will be received 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Richard McClintock officiating. Interment, Monongahela Cemetery, North Braddock, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to Meyersdale Community Hospital, or to a hospital of choice. Memorial service will be held by Order of Eastern Star, Trinity Chapter 138 at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home. Daily American, May 27, 1986 [P0896]
