PRICE Frank Hoblitzell Price, aged 57 years, of Jenkins, Ky., died in a hospital there on Friday, Sept. 3, following an illness of ten months duration. Born in Meyersdale, Mr. Price was the third son of the late Kennedy and Grace (Hoblitzell) Price, and had been in the employ of the Kentucky Division of the Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Co., for 33 years, serving as chief clerk, in Van Lear, Ky. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Edna Payne of Meyersdale, and one son, Lt. Cmdr. Frank H. Price Jr., serving on the USS Missouri, which recently left Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on a South American cruise. He is also survived by one grandchild, two brothers, Edwin R. Price of Wheelwright, Ky., and Kennedy Price, Jr., of Brownsville, Pa. One brother, James H. Price, preceded him in death. Mr. Price was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Meyersdale Masonic Lodge. The body was brought to Meyersdale by W. C. Price and Son and remained at the Price Funeral Home until the day of the funeral, when removal was made to the home of Mrs. Price's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Otis O. Cook, Meyers Ave., where funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon by Rev. F. J. Gotjen, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment was made in the family plot in Union Cemetery, under the direction of W. C. Price and Son. Meyersdale Republican, September 11, 1947
