Price, 77, of LaVale, MD, died Wednesday, May 23, 1990, at the Cumberland Nursing Home, MD. Born in Hyndman, May 21, 1913, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Della (Stickler) Hughes. She was a former member of the Daughters of Nile and was a past president of the Ladies Shrine Club. She was an active member of the Centre Street United Methodist Church where she was a teacher and a member of the communion committee. She graduated from Hyndman High School in 1931 and from Catherman's Business School. She had been employed as a private secretary in the personnel department of the Celanese Corporation. Surviving are her husband, Earl W. Price; one son, the Rev. J. Edward Price, Live Oak, Fla.; one sister, Hilda H. Ellwinger, Meyersdale; one nephew, Terrance Stuby, Lexington, N.C.; and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary in LaVale, MD, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held there Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. William Miller Jr. and the Rev. Adam Grim. Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Centre Street United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Byron Bonebreak, Ace Humbertson, Ed Soloman, Leo Wilson, Dave Miller and William Price. The Republic, May 31, 1990 [P0904]
