Born in Ellerslie, Md., Sept. 26, 1920, he was the son of Catherine (Barncord) Printy Orndorff, Ellerslie, Md. and the late Virgil Printy. A retired superintendent for Phoenix Construction Company, Cumberland, Md., he served as a technical sergeant and second lieutenant in the Army Infantry during World War II. He was a member of the DAV and American Legion of Fort Myers, Fla. Surviving is his widow, Lois (Lechemby) Printy; two daughters, Mrs. Sheila J. Miller, Longwood, Fla.; Mrs. Teresa A. Riggs, Rockville, Md.; four brothers, Robert Printy and Richard Printy, Hyndman RD 1; Francis Printy, Bowman's Addition, Md.; Gerald Printy, Ellerslie, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Logue and Mrs. Nancy Lee See, both of Ellerslie, Md.; Mrs. Bonnie Ruby, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Diane Scritchfield, Hyndman, and one grandchild. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Jeff Dissmore. Interment, Hyndman Cemetery. The Republic, June 4, 1987 [P0916]
