Pritts, 87, of Middlesex Twp., died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Valencia Woods Nursing Center, Valencia. Born in Garrett, Somerset County, on February 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Samuel A. and Alberta (Werner) Pritts. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Catherine M. (Fritz) Pritts, whom he married on December 7, 1942; a son, Charles T. Pritts, of Middlesex Twp.; two daughters: Mrs. Ronald (Weeta K.) McAfee of Pt. St. Lucie, Fla.; and Donna Miller of Middlesex Twp.; also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Operating Engineer's Local #66 in Monroeville. At one time he had been a coal miner in Garrett. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars, and attended New Life Christian Ministries in Saxonburg. He had studied music and played a variety of instruments. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Friends were received from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., Mars, on Thursday. Funeral services followed at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Dr. Chris Marshall, pastor of New Life Christian Ministries, officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Dorseyville.
