He was born June 10, 1915 in Saltlick Township. A son of the late George and Fanny Pritts. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Charlotte M. Miller Pritts in 1999, a brother Charles Pritts in 1936. He is survived by a son, David Pritts of Normalville, a granddaughter, Courtney Pritts of Normalville; a brother, George Pritts Jr., and his wife Mary of Bakersville. Also a sister Idella Levander of Youngstown, Ohio. He retired in 1977 as a construction worker and he also previously was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Construction Laborers Union Local 1058, the Normalville Rod and Gun Club, Laurel Ridge Sportsmen Association and he was a member of the Normalville United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles Eagle officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Daily American, May 3, 2001 [P0936]
