Pritts, 86, Rockwood, passed on Jan. 15, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 12, 1919, in Wilson Creek, he is the son of the late Elmer and Minnie (Kimmel) Pritts. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant sisters, Violet and June Pritts. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, LaVerne (Everhart) Pritts; daughters, Donna Kimbel and husband, Miles, Springdale, Ark.; and Lana Phillippi and husband, M.J., Rockwood; son Danny Pritts and wife Karleen (McDowell), Jupiter, Fla.; grandchildren, Angela Sharp, Andrea Steiner, Julie Beener, Danny Pritts and Michael Pritts; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters Zola Wiltrout and Peggy Enos, both of Somerset. He was a barber in Rockwood for 60 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic and was the winner of two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Rockwood American Legion Post 279 and the Somerset VFW Post 554. He was an avid golfer, bowler, marksman and hunter. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rockwood where he was a former council member. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood. A service will be held at St. Luke's Church at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ardelle and the Rev. George Mason and the Rev. Douglas Baker officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery with full military honors by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Patriot Manor Activities Committee Fund at 495 W. Patriot St. Somerset , PA 15501.
