    Janet C. Pritts, 59, of Frederick, Md., passed away peacefully on
  Jan. 30, 2003, after a long battle with breast cancer.  Born in
  Meyersdale, the daughter of the late Leo and Irene Baer.  Also
  preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary
  Baer.  Survived by her husband, Robert A. Pritts; two daughters,
  Cheryl Lamb and husband Thomas, Carole Carty and husband Dale; two
  granddaughters, Magan Baldwin and Kimberly Fogle, all of
  Walkersville, Md.; two nieces, Leanna Latuch of Rockwood and Lisa
  Kocinski of Manassas, Va. and several cousins and great-nieces and
  nephews.  A 1961 graduate of Meyersdale High School.  She moved to
  Frederick in 1963.  Worked for the federal government at the National
  Bureau of Standars and later at the National Institute for Heald until
  her retirement Jan. 3, 2003.  Longtime member of Grace United Church
  of Christ in Frederick, a member of the local and national chapters
  of H.O.G. Motorcycle Association and the Middletown Ski Club.  An
  avid reader and a devoted Red Cross blood donor.  She loved traveling
  with friends.  She will also be remembered by her lifelong friend,
  Bonnie Christner McKenzie of Frederick and special friend and
  caregiver Bonnie Huffman of Myersville, Md.  A memorial service will
  be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Incarnation United Church of
  Christ, 124 W. Main St. in Emmittsburg.  The Rev. Theodore Haas
  officiating.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be made in memory of Janet Pritts, to the American
  Cancer Society, 800-227-2345.  Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral
  Services of Frederick, Md.
