Born Feb. 22, 1950, in Somerset. Preceded in death by parents, John Wilbert and Ruth Catherine (Shaffer) Pritts and brother, John Stephen Pritts. Survived by children: Stephen W. Pritts and Lindsay R. Pritts of Grapevine, Texas. Also fondly remembered by friend, Ellen Pritts of Grapevine, Texas, and cousin Mike Hardwig and family of Scullton, and additional cousins and friend Steve Smith of Butler. Jeff was employed as a construction inspector for the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. He was a 1968 graduate of Somerset High School and served 13 years with the Pennsylvania National Guard as a staff sergeant first with Co. C, 103rd Armor in Somerset and then with HQ Co. of the 876 Engineer Battalion in Johnstown. In many ways, he was "The nicest guy you would ever want to met." Private viewing at the convenience of the family. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.
