Pritts, 72, Champion RD 1, died June 8, 1985, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Nov. 19, 1912, in Champion, daughter of late James D. and Melva (Gary) Cane. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, James H. and Harry M.; and sister, Cora Sleasman. Survived by husband of 40 years, James E. Pritts; and five children: Mrs. James (LaVerne) Pennington and Mrs. (Janet) Shimek, both of North Carolina; Mrs. Duane (Dolores) Showman, Champion RD 1; James E. Silvis, married to former Marie Grimm, Uniontown; and Mrs. Melvin (Bonita) Britton, Rittinan, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sister of Charles E. Cane, Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Moore and Mrs. Elmer (Ida Mae) Shaulis, all of Champion Rd 1. Member of Center Church of the Brethren, where she served as deaconess. Lifetime member of Women's Church Fellowship. Friends were received Sunday and will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Kenneth Davis and Rev. Thomas Singo officiating. Interment, Tinkey Cemetery. Daily American, June 10, 1985 [P0983]
