Born Oct. 5, 1924, in Jefferson Township, a daughter of William Henry and Myrtle Olive (Barron) Hay. Preceded in death by parents; twin sister, Ruth Ringer; sister, Pearl Barron and brother, George Hay. Survived by Husband Robert Shaffer Pritts to whom she was married 53 years; children, Robert L. Pritts and friend Carol Stoy, Somerset; Mrs. Gregory (Christine) Menser, Somerset; and Mrs. Richard (Debra) Shaffer, Champion; grandchildren, Gregory Menser, Lisa Mostoller, Heather and Robert Pritts and Travis Shaffer; great-grandson, Benjamin Mostoller. Sister of Ralph B. Hay and wife, Betty, Somerset, William R. Hay and wife, Mary Jane, Galveston, Ind. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Barronvale), where she was on Joint Council. A 1943 graduate of Somerset High School. Also a member of the Bakersville Auxiliary and was an American Heart Fund volunteer, as well as Jefferson Township judge of election board for 25 years. She enjoyed animals, particularly her cat Precious. She also enjoyed flower gardening. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Barronvale) Rockwood. The Rev. William E. Osman officiating. Interment Barron Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 126, Rockwood, PA 15557. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
