Born April 5, 1922, in Luzerne County, Pa., son of the late Michael and Mary (Hojczek) Prokop. Also preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Stan and Joseph Prokop and two sisters, Julia Bertoldi and Stella Dziedzic. Survived by his wife, the former Betty Grace Eichelberger; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Karen) Napoleon, Lawrenceville, Ga. and son, Victor L. Prokop, Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael and Kerri Napoleon; sister of Mrs. Vernon Ray (Helen) Paul, Stoystown RD 3, Mrs. Marion Droste, Northfield, Ill. and Eugene Prokop, Shanksville. He was a 1939 graduate of Boswell High School and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Retired State Park foreman at Laurel Hill State Park for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, retiring in 1983. Friends received from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday. Rev. Danny R. Bailey officiating.
