Pronesti, 84, of Belleville, N.J., died June 22, 1994, at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. Born in Boswell. Son of George and Victoria (Camilite) Pronesti. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Rose C. (Salzano), who died in 1967; brothers, Frank, Michael, Joseph and Domenick, and sister, Julie. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Parillo; son, George R., Cedar Grove, N.J.; sister, Carmella Arcail of Cape Cod, Mass., and brother, Ralph of Boswell. Stepbrother of Nick Biondo, Maryann Stern and Theresa Reckner, all of Boswell. Also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He worked in the coal mines before moving to Newark, N.J., in 1927. He was employed in the maintenance department of Wallace & Tiernan of Belleville for 10 years, retiring in 1975. He also worked as a machinist for the Worthington Corp. in Harrison for many years. A member of Holy Family R.C. Church in Nutley, where he served as usher for 27 years and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also the president of the Wallace & Tiernan Retirees. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave. (Rt. 23), Cedar Grove, N.J., where funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and at Holy Family R.C.
