    Joe P. Protz, 82, of East Main Street, Somerset, died Nov. 17,
  1993, in Somerset Hospital.  Born July 11, 1911, in McKeesport. 
  Among his friends were his landlords, Telford and Vernon Coleman, and
  friends, Andrew Ellich and Andrew Ellich Jr.  Veteran of World War
  II.  Served with the 168th Field Artillery overseas.  Member of VFW
  Post 554, Somerset.  Retired woodsman.  Friends will be received from
  2 to 4 p.m. today (Friday) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home,
  where service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, Pastor William
  J. Sleasman.  Interment, Miller Cemetery, Middlecreek Township.
