ELIZABETH ANN PROUD

  Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Proud died Saturday, March 20, 1943, at her home in St. 
Benedict, Pa.  Her body was brought to Meyersdale on Tuesday, for burial in 
Union Cemetery, following funeral services held at the W. C. Price Funeral Home, 
conducted by Rev. John Warman, of the local Methodist Church.
  She was 48 years old, having been born March 3, 1895, the daughter of James 
and Mary (Robertson) Houston of Meyersdale.  She is survived by her husband, 
Joseph Proud of St. Benedict and two daughters, Pansy and Mary Ann.  The family 
has lived in St. Benedict for 16 years.  She is also survived by one sister, 
Mrs. Robert Hamilton, Meyersdale, R.D., and five brothers, namely, James, Hugh 
L., David B., and Frank R. Houston all of Meyersdale, R.D., (Shaw Mines) and 
Edward with the U.S. Army in Texas.
