  PUFFENBERGER
  
  Edgar Puffenberger, 62, of Rt. 4 Old Town Road, Cumberland, Md., died
  Oct. 9, 1977 in Cumberland, Md.  He was born July 5, 1915, in Chaffee,
  W.Va., the son of Albert and Carrie C. (Johnston) Puffenberger.  He
  was a retired employe [sic] of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad
  Company, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America, a
  former Little League baseball coach, and a member of the Mt. Tabor
  United Methodist Church.  Survived by his wife, Gelia (Mongold);
  three sons: Edgar Jr., of Severn, Md.; Carl of Somerset; and Alan of
  Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Miller and Mrs. Wanita
  Hamlet, both of Baltimore, Md. and seven grandchildren.  Friends are
  being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Scarpelli
  Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland.  Funeral services will
  be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, with
  the Rev. Richard Jacobson officiating.  Interment, church cemetery. 
  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Allegany-Garrett
  Heart Association, Cumberland, Md.
