  Mrs. Jessie Virginia Pugh, 61, of Confluence, died at home Jan. 29,
  1978.  Born Feb. 19, 1916, daughter of Howard R. and Eva May
  (Griffith) Ringer.  Preceded in death by her parents and son, James,
  Jr.  Survived by husband, James W. Pugh, whom she married Feb. 12,
  1939, and one daughter, Ruth Ann, wife of Dr. Edward L. Palmer of
  Davidson, N.C., also two grandchildren.  Also survived are two
  brothers, Dwane E. of Confluence and Howard of Goleta, Calif.  Member
  of Trinity Lutheran Church, Confluence.  Friends will be received at 7
  p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 978, at Humbert Funeral Home, where services
  will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1978, at 2 p.m.  The Rev. McCurtis
  Allison, officiating.  Interment, Addison Cemetery.
