  Maude E. Pugh, 87, of Jerome, died Dec. 5, 1981, in Allegheny
  Lutheran Home, Johnstown.  Born Feb. 16, 1894, in Deerfield, Ohio,
  daughter of Laura and William Beard.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Joseph, who died Sept. 1958; and two brothers.  Survived by
  these children: Delmar A., married to Eva Blank, Mt. Vernon, Va.;
  William A., married to Josephine Mastrocola, Ebensburg; Avon, wife of
  Samuel English, Valley Station, Ky.; six grandchildren; and six great
  grandchildren.  Sister of Arthur, Connellsville.  Member of Jerome
  Lutheran Church.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev.
  John W. Roth.  Interment, Maple Springs Cemetery.
