Pugh, 70, of Friedens RD 2, died Sept. 14, 1987, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born on May 24, 1917, in Blough, a son of Charles and Catherine (Blough) Pugh. Preceded in death by parents; son Terry; brothers: Charles, Russell, Forest and Millard; and sisters: Sadie Lambert, Vida Sarver and Elsie Webber. Survived by his wife, the former Beatrice Weyand Twombly; and these children: Mrs. Doanld (Judy) Dixon, Erie; Sally Rigo and Mrs. Thomas (Candace) Oaks, both of Glencoe; Mrs. Walter (Bonnie) Oaks, Berlin; Mrs. Terry (Miriam) Johnson, Somerset RD 5; Lester (Jim) Twombly, married to Sandy DeRosa, Friedens; Terry Twombly, at home; 35 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Ann Harding of Clarksville and Mrs. Arthur (Kathryn) Ashbrook of Hooversville. He and his wife owned Bob & Bea's bar of Friedens RD 2. He was an army veteran of WWII, Hooversville VFW Post 7565, Stoystown American Legion Post 257, Somerset F.O.E. 1801 and Cleveland, Ohio U.A.W., Local 1045. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. James R. Ling officiating.
