Pugh, 85, Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Salisbury, died March 16, 2005, at Winchester Nursing Home in Mansfield. Born Oct. 25,1919, in Meyersdale (Summit Township), a son of the late Charles and Grace (Tressler) Pugh. Also preceded in death by his wife Ruth Elaine (Ravenscraft) Pugh; a brother William Pugh; and sisters Myrtle Habel and Susie Ulin. Survived by three sons: Walter C. "Sonny" Pugh, and his wife, Jenny, Salisbury; and Robert D. Pugh, and his wife, Dottie, Mansfield, Ohio; and Wayne Ravenscraft, and his wife, Edythe, West Union, W.Va. Also nine grandchildren: Lori (Pugh) Morakis, Mansfield, Ohio; Lisa (Pugh) Hersch, Meyersdale; Bobbi (Pugh) Weaver, Mansfield, Ohio; Becky Pugh, Mansfield, Ohio; Lisa Ann Pugh, Berlin; David Pugh, Stoystown; Mindy (Pugh) Campbell, Somerset; Cheryl Oed, Baltimore, Md.; and June Toth, West Union, W.Va. In addition, there are 15 great-grandchildren. A brother of Daniel Pugh, Meyersdale; and Mary Otto, Springs. A veteran of the U.S. Navy World War II and later worked in the Western Maryland tri-state area in coal mines, road construction and a stone quarry prior to his retirement. "Pappy" had a special gift of making things grow. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and tinkering with his pickup truck. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Eric Shaulis officiating.
