Born Oct. 19, 1911 in Stoystown. Daughter of Leonard Boyer and Libby (Reiman) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, husband, William Mahlon Pugh Sr. who died Dec. 18, 1994; daughter Barbara Jean Pugh who died Sept. 21, 1936; son, James Allen Pugh who died Aug. 16, 1949; great-grandson Bradley Maust; three brothers, Raymond H., Maurice E., and Paul R. Miller, and sisters, Edith Holsopple, Alverda Hillegas, and Edna and Irene Miller. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Bruce A. (Connie L.) Grine Sr., of Friedens; sons, William M. Pugh Jr., married to the former Susan J. Reynolds of Somerset, and David L. Pugh, married to Sharon A. Friedline of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Mrs. Greg (Gale) Maust of Friedens; Bruce Grine Jr. of Lancaster, Michael Murphy of Lantana, Fla., Billie Jo Pugh of Elkland, and William Pugh III, Brandon, Justin, Lindsay, and Brittany Pugh, all of Somerset, and four great-grandchildren, Megan, Derek, Kayla and Erin Maust. Sister of Mrs. Freda "Fritzie" Vogel of Somerset, and Mrs. Betty Bauermaster of Las Vegas, Nev. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Trinity Chapter 138 OES, Former Wimodausis Rebekah Lodge. Retired in 1965 with 18 years of service from Somerset Hospital where she worked as a dietary aide. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Edward DeVore officiating. OES Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
