Pullin, who lived at the State Line, near Unamis, all of his life, died at 7 o'clock Friday evening, February 26. He was born in 1861. Meyersdale Republican, March 3, 1932 ----- ALFRED NEWLIN PULLIN Alfred Newlin Pullin was born Dec. 3, 1860, and passed to his great reward on Feb. 26, 1932, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 23 days. He had not been well the last few years, but was able to be up and around until about two days before he died. Mr. Pullin was born in Addison Township and lived all of his life on the same farm. He was an industrious and upright citizen, never doing anything to harm any one. On March 22, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary C. Turney, also of Addison Township, who preceded him to the grave over seven years ago. To them were born five children, Howard and John, at home; Wilbur, of Cumberland, Md.; Floyd, of Somerfield; and Carlton, of Markleysburg. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. His only sister, Mrs. Mary Kretchman, of Confluence, passed away on May 30, 1931, and his brother, Joseph W. Pullin, of Hudson, Iowa, passed away on Dec. 20, 1931. He was one of three children that lived to grow up and all passed away within nine months. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 1, at 2 p.m., in his late home, and at 2:30 p.m. in the church in Addison. Rev. Pollock of Addison had charge of the services. Undertaker H. B. Rishebarger of Addison had charge of the burial in the beautiful Addison Cemetery. The pallbearers were Leonard Williams, Charles Williams, Ray Nicklow, Charles Patton, William Gettermany and Elias McClintock. Meyersdale Republican, March 17, 1932
