CYRUS PURBAUGH

  Cyrus Purbaugh, age 50, died Tuesday morning, July 9, in the Altoona Memorial 
Hospital at 11:30 a.m. following an operation.
  Mr. Purbaugh was employed as a boiler maker in the Pennsylvania R.R. shops in 
Altoona.  He was born May 12, 1896, in Meyersdale, the son of Henry W. and Emma 
Hutzell Purbaugh.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edythe Wood Purbaugh, two 
children, Sylvia Fay and James at home; his father, H. W. Purbaugh of 
Meyersdale, and the following brothers and sisters: Earl Purbaugh, Mt. Savage, 
Md.; Mrs. R. D. Cordrey, Mrs. Marie Congleton, William Purbaugh and Roy 
Purbaugh, of Meyersdale and Reaford Purbaugh of Oakland, Md.
  Funeral services will be held in Altoona on Friday, July 12, at 2:30 p.m., and 
the body will be interred in the Altoona Cemetery.
