  PURBAUGH
  
  James W. Purbaugh, 71, Rockwood RD 3, died March 20, 1988 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born April 17, 1916 in Black Township, son of
  Oscar and Sadie (Carolus) Purbaugh.  Survived by wife, Rosie
  (Reckner) Purbaugh, Rockwood RD 3; four sons, Donald and James Jr.,
  both of Rockwood RD 3, Carl, Garrett, Roger, Somerset; two brothers,
  William, Rockwood RD 1 and Charles, Monongahela; two sisters, Elsie
  Baughman, Rockwood and Alice Price, Georgia.  Preceded in death by
  first wife, Mary Hahn, an infant son, three brothers and three
  sisters.  Death terminates a marriage union of 48 years.  Retired
  from janitorial department of state welfare office.  Friends will be
  received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, from 3-9 p.m. Monday,
  where services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Don
  Judy officiating.  Interment, Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. 
  Arrangements are under the direction of William J. Wood Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
