EVA M. PURDY

  Mrs. Johns Purdy, aged 70, died in Providence Hospital, Baltimore, Md., on 
Sunday evening at 5:30.  The Purdy family many years ago resided in Meyersdale, 
and Mr. and Mrs. Johns Purdy, prior to locating in Baltimore, were residents of 
Somerset, where Mr. Purdy conducted a barber shop for many years.
  Mrs. Purdy was an aunt of the Sheppard brothers and sisters who reside on 
Large Street, Meyersdale, and the three brothers still conduct a barber shop on 
Main Street, established by their father, the late D. R. Sheppard.
