  PUTMAN
  
  Robert Barnes Putman, 79, of Listie, died Jan 16, 1986, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 6, 1906, in Markleton, the son of the
  late William Barnes and Flora Etta (Lape) Putman.  Preceded in death
  by four brothers.  Survived by his wife, the former Erma May Beeghly;
  and these children; Mrs. Kenneth (Thelma) Foust, Somerset; Mrs. R.
  Wilbur (Janet) Bowers and Mrs. George (Eveline) Tirko, both of
  Listie; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Brother
  of:  Mrs. Viola Schardt, Meyersdale; Albert and Ralston, both of
  Rockwood; Mrs. Florence Peters, Rockwood; and Mrs. Ida Mae McLeod,
  Sarasota, Fla.  He was a member of Geiger Church of the Brethren and
  Listie Fire Department.  He retired from the the Baltimore and Ohio
  Railroad.  Death ends a marriage of 54 years.  Friends received 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Services
  will be held Sunday 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
