  PUTMAN
  
    Ruth D. (Fisher) Putman, 85, of Jenner Cross Roads, died Aug. 20,
  1996, at home.  Born May 9, 1911, in Acosta.  Daughter of Alpha and
  Mary (Ogline) Fisher.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Roy, on
  Jan. 30, 1987; daughter, Florence Mae Speicher-Mullen on June 2, 1996;
  two grandchildren; several infant sisters and brothers; and brothers,
  Clyde, Luther and Earl.  Survived by these children: Marlene, wife of
  Shaffer Colson, Virginia Beach, Va.; Shirley, wife of Lowell Williams,
  Boswell RD 1; Kay Putman of Knotts Island, N.C., and Connie
  (Tallentire) Knopsnyder, wife of Robert, Somerset; 16 grandchildren;
  25 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.  Also
  survived by son-in-law, Everett "Bud" Mullen of Acosta.  Member of
  Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ near Gray.  Friends received from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main
  Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev.
  Joseph M. Beer officiating. Interment, Beam Cemetery.  Memorials to
  Regional Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa., 15963 would be
  appreciated.
