Putman, 72, Middlecreek Township, passed on Oct. 19, 2006, at home. Born July 5, 1934, in Middlecreek Township, he is the son of the late Carl and Sada (Hayman) Putman. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Carl Jr. He is survived by his wife, Leona (Peck) Putman; children, Charles Eric Putman, married to Ramona (King), Rockwood, Vicki Knotts, married to David, Meyersdale; and Mark Putman, married to Kathy (Hostetler), Rockwood; grandchildren, Kambria, Rionna and Madison Putman; sister, Sally Brokaw, married to Ed, Somerset; and brother Harry Putman, married to Lois (Bell), Rockwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Scullton Rod and Gun Club. He attended the Somerset Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
